Chordata is a simple but powerful application that analyses the chords of any music file in your computer. You can use it to travel back and forward the song while watching insightful visualizations of the tonal features of the song. Key bindings and mouse interactions for song navigation are designed thinking in a musician with an instrument at hands.

This software is old and will not compile on modern Linux systems BUT it runs very well in WINE without needing to install any dependencies. Now I can learn the guitar chords for just about any song quickly. Too bad this is not maintained any longer, it has such great potential.

Lovely simple to use program works very well but can anyone tell me why it will play some songs at a fast tempo somtimes? but still very happy with the chord picking very accurate

Amazing utility, unlike anything else I've seen. Unfortunately, it seems to have been abandoned.
